We welcome considered pitches that help readers use, choose or understand everyday technology. Send proposals through the Contact page, with enough detail for us to see the practical idea and the reader it serves.
Ideas that fit
Strong proposals address a clear, recurring need in devices, software, privacy, work or connected homes. We value useful explanations, careful comparisons of approaches and durable how-to ideas that do not depend on a passing product announcement.
What to include
Describe the proposed subject, the central question, the intended reader and the useful takeaway. Mention any product, service or commercial relationship that could be relevant. A short outline is helpful; a finished article is not necessary for an initial pitch.
A careful editorial fit
Keep the proposal specific and grounded. We are less interested in sales copy, thin rewrites of product documentation or claims that depend on unsupported testing. If a pitch needs special access or firsthand experience to make its case, explain that plainly.
How to send a pitch
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option, then say that your message is a contribution proposal. Include a way to reply in the form. Sending a pitch does not guarantee publication, and we may edit accepted work for clarity and fit.
